Sigh. You were right. We're going to have an arts festival with no arts. Just an empty blank of a non-festival. What is it going to be called? A ____ Festival? The one and only FAMOUS Dogwood _____ Festival? And they scheduled it too late AGAIN, I think. The dogwoods are going to be gone by then. So I guess it will be a ____ ____ non-Festival. That should really bring 'em in!!
While I really do understand the issue about security and the federal buildings, there are PLENTY of other places to show art down there. I think we should take some of our paintings to Market Square and prop them up somewhere in protest. Well, your paintings would make it a festival. MINE would be protestable...
Like I said the other day, though, and in all seriousness -- we need to see what we can do to get involved if we want to change it!!!
