Don't you love it when you do something completely wrong and it all comes out really cool? I had the white balance on my camera set to take photos of artwork in my studio under fluorescent and natural light, and forgot to change it before I took this picture of Bodie Island Lighthouse on a partly sunny day outside. Oops.
Strangely enough, I like it better than the one I took with the balance set correctly...
which seems dull and ordinary by comparison.

So, we made it to the beach today, and we're so excited to be here. We've not been to this beach in about 4 years, and it is our favorite beach evah. We settling into our house for the week and making big plans for climbing the Cape Hatteras Light and learning how to skim board.
Okay. I'm looking forward to laying on the beach and watching the boys bust their tails learning how to skim board and I'm not so fond of heights, but I really want to see the view from the top of the Cape Light, so while I'm planning to go, I can't really say I'm eager.
But I'll go. With extra batteries for the camera.
Because I'm not climbing it twice...
