Front Page News

After a long wait, an article I wrote in March was published at the WetCanvas site! Front page news, indeed...feel free to look at it (and others) on the newest acquisition of F+W Publications - publishers of North Light Books and The Artist's Magazine, to name a couple. Too bad they don't pay for published articles. I really could use a new computer...sigh.

  3. Excellent article, Diahn - and of course I really enjoyed peeking into your sketchbooks. I agree with you about moleskines - they're particular, but when you've gotten used to them it's difficult to switch. I like your trick of pre-coloring pages. sometimes I close the book before the paint is dry - it's fun to work around the random colors on the opposite page.

  4. Great article - congratulations! And thanks for sharing your pre-color trick. I will have to try that. I like casey's suggestion too about closing the book while it's still wet. I LOVE the sketch of the daylily that was with the article btw - simply gorgeous.

  6. Thanks for a wonderful article!I love my moleskines, but I do tend to "slide" in using it and seeing all your sketches and writing and how you prolifacally use your sketchbooks, is so inspiring. Just what I need right now.

  8. Good for you! Yup, you're right about payment. I write 3 columns a month for a local mag and get very, very little. But at least I'm being published. Always hope someone will pick it up!
