Phineas just looked so dadgum lonesome all by himself over there in etsy-land, so I thought I'd try another upload and give him a friend.
This is Basil:
He's currently residing next door to Phineas in my shop. Feel free to go say hi and give him a little love, too...he'll be joined by the rest of the flock very soon!
Only one business day until I'm officially opened!
I like this guy...he reminds me of W.C. Fields. Like he doesn't take himself so seriously and he's about to tell a really corny joke...and smoke a cigar. :)

ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying your birds. I've been wanting to draw some, but they won't sit still long enough for me. Nice job. Keep em coming!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mo- I think that's why I gave him such a stuffy name - to offset his ridiculous snooty look!
ReplyDeleteJeff - thank you - they don't sit still long enough for me, either. I have to draw birds from the photographs I take of them instead...
He's got a very sturdy sense of self, I can tell ;D. Lovely, Diahn!
ReplyDeleteOooh, what a personality he has! His name fits him perfectly!
ReplyDelete:-D
really nice :) did the paper come with that design (eye, pen nibs?)on it or did you transfer it onto the paper
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura and Linda!
ReplyDeleteJennifer Rose - thank you - I put the designs on the paper before I draw . I use stamps with a clear watermark ink.
